High 5 for Year 5! Our 17 SESSFA schools are excited to kick off the milestone 5th annual Move-a-Thon fundraising drive running March 31 through April 30, 2025. More than 6,700 Southeast Seattle elementary and middle school students are in on the action as each SESSFA school gets moving with its own Move-a-Thon special event. Join us in rooting for Southeast Seattle schools by helping SESSFA reach its joint $500k goal for the Move-a-Thon fundraising drive!

2. Follow the prompts to create or log in to your account
3. Complete the setup steps, then share your Move-a-Thon fundraiser with your network!

All gifts made through team and individual pages support the collective fundraising drive goal benefitting our 17 SESSFA schools.

2024

See Southeast Seattle students on the move for our 4th annual Move-a-Thon fundraising drive as you learn about materials and programs supported by SESSFA funding in our 17 schools! See if you can spot SESSFA community partners The Good Foot Arts Collective and Double Dutch Divas inspiring Southeast Seattle students to get moving.

2023

Hear about SESSFA's "Movement Bingo" challenge, an interactive game with prompts for students to get active with the sponsorship of their families, neighbors, and broader communities! Also in 2023, Southeast Seattle's two middle schools joined SESSFA, bringing the alliance to 17 schools encompassing all elementary, K-8, and middle schools in SPS District 7.

2022

For our 2nd annual Move-a-Thon in 2022, SESSFA expanded to include 15 schools as three additional Southeast Seattle elementary schools joined the alliance. Bonus: SESSFA was thrilled to have Seattle Storm player Mercedes Russell send in a video demonstration of a jump squat—watch to learn, then try it at home!

2021

In the spring of 2021, 12 Southeast Seattle PTAs and PTOs joined together for the inaugural SESSFA Move-a-Thon. See some of our Southeast Seattle students and educators engaging with SESSFA's exciting new model of community building and FUNdraising.
